Long handled scissors

Scissors of all types can be difficult to hold and awkward to close (cut with) in a controlled manner. This holds true for general utility scissors and for special purpose scissors like those used for cutting hair.

Being unable to hold or use scissors properly can also pose a danger, however there is a solution.

Easy use scissors

Using manicure and pedicure scissors can be made much easier when the scissors have longer and larger diameter (easy grip) handles.

Longer handles make them easier to hold and the increased leverage means that the effort required to close them during cutting is reduced. This means that using them requires less strength.

Bigger finger holes in the scissor handles make it less likely that the person using them will make a bad cut or find them uncomfortable to use.

Some of these scissors will use a slightly serrated scissor blade for improved cutting and to help the scissors hold the nail in place. Many people find this extra feature a user friendly advantage as it prevents the scissors from slipping.
