Garden tools

Gardening is a popular pastime for many people, however being larger than average can sometimes make this hobby tiring and physically demanding.

One way to make gardening easier is to use a selection of the many ergonomically designed garden tools that are now available. Ergonomic garden tools have clever features like longer or extendable handles, handles that are angled or changeable and thick grips with soft and easy to hold handles.

Most garden tools from trowels to bulb planters utilize the features described above and as a result they remove much of the need to bend or crouch as well as making the application of pressure for e.g. digging easier.

Some garden tools are available that will connect quickly and easily onto a long handle and these tool sets are interchangeable. This makes them easier to buy.

Making gardening easier

Gardening can also be made easier by the use of planters and baskets that can be set at an easily reachable height (e.g. 3 feet or a metre above ground level) and this removes the need to bend down. It also means that gardening can be done whilst seated or from a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

Using planters not only makes gardening more accessible, but it can additionally increase the amount of space available for flowers or vegetables. It offers the option to have bedding plants under windows, on drives and in paved areas and the overall result is that a garden can be more colourful and attractive.
