Back scratcher

A back scratcher is a multi purpose aid that can be used to scratch the back, lower legs or any other hard to reach parts of the body. These devices are used by both able bodied and mobility and dexterity challenged people alike.

These aids have a long lightweight handle and stem. At the far end of the aid there will be a profile similar to the fingers or the dulled prongs of a fork and these provide the relief when applied in a rubbing motion to an itchy area.

The back (and body) scratcher can be a handy device for people of all ages and degrees of health and mobility.

Some of these scratchers have colourful designs and some replicate other things like forks and hands. They are usually cheap and available at a number of different online and high street outlets.

There are a number of back scratchers that are portable and that have a telescopic action (like a car aerial) that enables them to be contracted when not in use. Some of these scratchers are disguised as pens ands will clip onto a pocked or fit in a handbag.
