Long handled hair brush and scissors

Hair grooming and cutting aids can benefit from longer handles that make reaching to the side of the head and around the back of the head less of a challenge.

Long handled hair brush

Long handled hair brushes and combs make it easier to groom the hair without having to raise the hands above the shoulder level.

These brush handles normally provide up to one foot (300mm) of extra reach and they are either slightly curved, or have the brush angled slightly from the handle to help the brushing action.

The handle will normally have a non slip thicker than normal grip. Whilst they are a simple variation on a normal brush they are highly effective.

Long handled scissors

Scissors of all types can be difficult to hold and awkward to close (cut with) in a controlled manner.

Using manicure and pedicure scissors can be made much easier when the scissors have longer and larger handles. Longer handles make them easier to hold and the increased leverage means that the effort required to close them during cutting is reduced. Bigger finger holes in the scissor handles makes it less likely that the person using them will make a bad cut.

Some of these scissors will use a slightly serrated scissor blade for improved cutting and to help the scissors hold the nail. Many people find this extra feature an advantage.
